We have been doing a lot of baking and next we are making scones or banana cake. Both my parents are essential workers, they work 4 days on 4 days off so one of them is always home with us. We play volleyball outside when we are really bored but sometimes we watch a movie. Me and my mum went for a bike ride yesterday, there is a lot of people doing fitness at the park, people riding bikes, scooters, walking, running and people even playing soccer. Room 5 Museum Trip

Talofa Lava Bloggers,

Yesterday, We went to the Auckland Museum for a trip and we learnt about history of war and what happened in the war. My favourite part in the Museum was when we went to see the Polynesian Panthers black leather jacket, it looked so cool and we saw what happened in the dawn raids. My least favourite part was when we went into a small room and learned about hitler killing all those inoccent Jewish people. I learnt that hitler hated the Jewish people and killed them from putting them in a shower of gas.

Have you been to a Museum ? If so what Museum ?

Nurses during war

Thank you poster for the nurses

Talofa bloggers, This week we were learning about care that was given and the risks they took for us. They are only cared for if they are wounded or have broken bones, They have a lot of working hours/time, and they risked their own lives for us. Life war pretty tough for nurses because 40 New zealand nurses would work in the 1,000 bed Hospitals, Have 3 hours off a day and a half days leave every 10 days.
We imagined that we were soldiers while writing this Thank you card.
What is your opinion ?

Dawn Raids

Talofa Lava Bloggers

The Polynesian Panthers

1970 the year of the Dawn Raids, Polynesians woke up to police knocking at the door and sirens outside. Polynesian people got beat from the Police Officers because the Police thought that they were overstayers, they got beat with wet newspaper and telephone books because it didnt leave bruises. Their werent that much Pasifika people that overstayed, it was mostly people from London, South Africa and Canda. The Polynesians did a reverse dawn raid on one of the police officers and the dawn raids stopped.

Steel Pan Drums

On Wednesday 2 of June
My class had the exciting opportunity of opening our Whanau Hui. My class only had a few weeks to learn this song, we went to the music room every Wednesday afternoon and thats when we got to learn. It was very hard but very fun to learn, some parts were boring because we had to wait for a little, but it got hard when we had to put all the beats together.
Thank you Tish and Mr.Sa for teaching us how to play Steel pans.

What song do you think we are playing ?

 Hi bloggers,

At first I thought that they went to war only for land, but Really they fight for alot of reasons that I did not know of, Fun fact:A city lied its way into safety.
This term we are learning about war and why wars are cause the most main reason for war is when another country wants more land.
